Ready to Step Into a High-Impact Operations Role Supporting the Founder of a Fast-Growing National Design Group?

This is a full-time opportunity commencing February/March 2026 for a commercially minded operator who thinks in systems, solves problems proactively, and brings clarity to a fast-moving creative and technical environment.

If you thrive on building order from complexity, strengthening internal operations, and supporting founders at scale, this role is built for you.

You’ll be joining a nationally recognised residential design group that supports volume builders across Australia. Each year, the organisation delivers more than 700 home designs, supports over $350M in builder contract value, and maintains a 90%+ retention rate with some of the country’s fastest-growing operators.

The business was originally born from construction, not design. In 2003, the founders were running a building company and saw the same pattern repeatedly: projects stalled, not due to a lack of demand, but because design couldn’t keep up. In 2009, they rebuilt the model from the ground up and created a systemised, builder-aligned design partner focused on removing design as a bottleneck.

Today, they operate across Australia and Asia, delivering builder-ready documentation frameworks, predictable workflows, and scalable design systems that keep sales flowing and site starts on track. To support the next stage of national growth, the organisation is strengthening its internal operational structure and this role will sit at the centre of that evolution.

Based in Southport, this position offers strategic responsibility, genuine influence, and the lifestyle balance the Gold Coast is known for, all while working side-by-side with senior leadership inside a fast-growth national organisation.

Here’s What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Working directly with the Founder & Creative Director to design, implement, and refine internal systems, SOPs, and workflow programs.
  • Translating strategic concepts and structural needs into clear, actionable business processes.
  • Meeting regularly with the Design Director to identify bottlenecks, workload pressures, and cross-team inefficiencies.
  • Conducting root-cause analysis and presenting structured, practical solutions to leadership.
  • Coordinating priorities between senior leaders and ensuring alignment on internal programs and projects.
  • Developing reporting frameworks tied to workflow efficiency, operational KPIs, and team performance insights.
  • Facilitating communication flows across departments to prevent roadblocks before they escalate.
  • Supporting project planning, documentation, and decision tracking to keep strategic initiatives on course.
  • Embedding new systems confidently across the organisation and ensuring team adoption.

What You’ll Bring to the Role:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capability, with an instinct for well-designed systems.
  • Exceptional listening skills and the ability to synthesise information into clear recommendations.
  • Organisational strength and a natural inclination toward structure, clarity, and order.
  • Professional maturity, discretion, and confidence navigating conversations with senior leaders.
  • The ability to work autonomously, take ownership, and operate with a solutions-first mindset.
  • Emotional intelligence and the capability to understand the Founder’s intent quickly and accurately.
  • Comfort moving between creative, operational, and leadership stakeholders.
  • A proactive, hands-on working style aligned with a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
  • Bonus points for experience in operations, executive support, business analysis, design, construction, or professional services.

What’s in It for You:

  • Competitive salary aligned with experience and impact.
  • A February/March 2026 commencement, ideal for candidates transitioning, relocating, or planning their next strategic move.
  • Direct access to and influence with the Founder inside a rapidly scaling national business.
  • Meaningful visibility across multiple business units and long-term national growth programs.
  • A forward-thinking team culture that values clarity, accountability, and momentum.
  • The opportunity to build the systems and operational frameworks that will underpin the organisation’s next decade of growth.
  • Long-term career progression as the group expands across Australia and Asia.
