Our client is a well-regarded Gold Coast law firm with a strong presence across multiple practice areas. Known for its professionalism, client-first approach, and commitment to best practice, the firm is expanding and now seeking a capable Solicitor / Associate to strengthen its legal team.


From managing files with precision to preparing complex legal documents, liaising with clients, and ensuring strict compliance across all matters, you’ll play a pivotal role in supporting the firm’s growth while delivering exceptional legal service.

Here’s What You’ll Be Doing:


• Managing client matters from initial instruction through to completion, ensuring accuracy and compliance.

• Preparing legal documents, cost agreements, client care letters, advice, and correspondence.

• Conducting conflict checks, searches, and obtaining client identification on all new matters.

• Maintaining accurate paper and electronic filing systems and managing bring-ups.

• Liaising with clients, solicitors, and external stakeholders professionally and promptly.

• Monitoring time-costing, preparing invoices, and overseeing budgets and forecasts.

• Managing trust account requirements in accordance with the Legal Profession Act.

• Keeping clients updated on matter progress, key dates, and any additional costs.

• Conducting file reviews and audits in line with firm policy.

• Ensuring all work complies with relevant legislation, professional conduct rules, and QLS requirements.

• Maintaining office precedents, client databases, and documentation standards.

• Exercising professional judgement, escalating issues early, and proposing solutions.

• Supervising, mentoring, and providing training to junior staff where required.

• Managing personal productivity and ensuring a high standard of work is maintained at all times.

• Undertaking CPD in accordance with Queensland Law Society requirements.


What You’ll Bring to the Role:


• A minimum of three years’ post-admission experience within a reputable law firm.

• Strong drafting, research, and advisory skills with meticulous attention to detail.

• Excellent communication and client engagement skills with a polished, professional presence.

• Confidence managing a diverse file load and competing priorities.

• A comprehensive understanding of professional conduct rules, legal compliance, and trust accounting obligations.

• Strong organisational ability and a disciplined approach to time-costing and budgets.

• A proactive mindset with the ability to work autonomously and contribute to a collaborative team.
