Ready to Ride the Gold Coast Wave of Accounting?

This full-time opportunity is perfect for an experienced and ambitious Accountant ready to join a progressive firm where career growth and lifestyle truly align.

If you’ve ever wanted to build your career by the beach, where you can start your day with a sunrise walk, work alongside an ambitious team, and still finish early enough to catch the afternoon sun, this role is for you.

Our client has experienced remarkable growth, expanding from 5 to 55 team members in just eight years. They’ve built a reputation as one of the Gold Coast’s most innovative and people-focused accounting firms, known for redefining what modern advisory looks like. Forget the old-school, paper-heavy approach, this is a firm powered by technology, forward thinking, and genuine connection.

Here, you won’t just be crunching numbers, you’ll be empowering business owners, helping them find clarity, confidence, and success. You’ll join a culture that’s built on collaboration, fun, and results, a place where professional ambition is celebrated just as much as a great team lunch or a Friday surf before the weekend begins.

Situated just 100 metres from the beach, this role offers the kind of balance most professionals dream of: meaningful work, a supportive team, and a location that embodies the very best of the Gold Coast lifestyle.

Here’s What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Preparing BAS, financial statements, and tax returns across multiple entity structures.
  • Developing business advisory reports, including cashflow forecasts and performance insights.
  • Partnering with senior managers on strategic meetings, mentoring, and tax planning.
  • Delivering structuring and tax advice that drives growth and clarity for clients.
  • Mentoring junior team members and sharing your expertise.
  • Using Xero and QuickBooks to deliver accurate, efficient outcomes every time.

What You’ll Bring to the Role:

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in a public practice accounting firm.
  • End-to-end ability to prepare BAS, tax returns, and financial statements independently.
  • Strong technical understanding of GST, Div 7A, CGT, and business structuring.
  • Proven experience providing advisory and tax planning to small and medium-sized businesses.
  • Proficiency in Xero and QuickBooks.
  • A proactive mindset, excellent communication, and a genuine passion for helping clients succeed.

What’s in It for You:

  • A modern office just 100m from the beach, enjoy ocean views, fresh air, and a quick swim before or after work.
  • 2 pm finishes on Fridays and flexible hours (finish as early as 3:30 pm Monday–Thursday).
  • Work-from-home options 2–3 days per week, plus the ability to take a monthly RDO.
  • Regular team lunches, events, and social catch-ups that feel more like family than colleagues.
  • Monthly massages, casual Fridays, and a relaxed, high-performing culture.
  • Study support, mentoring, and professional development directly from senior leadership.
  • A competitive salary package, plus a chance to work where most people holiday.
