Gold Coast QLD | Full-time Venue Manager role

Where commercial discipline meets high-energy hospitality.

WHAT THIS ROLE IS:

A senior leadership role within one of the Gold Coast’s most dynamic, high-volume hospitality venues.

This is a full-time appointment for an experienced Venue Manager who leads from the floor, owns the numbers, and understands that atmosphere without structure does not scale.

You will take full operational and commercial responsibility for a venue that operates at pace, welcomes thousands weekly, and thrives on live sport, dining, and entertainment.

Your leadership will directly influence profitability, team culture, operational stability, and guest experience.

WHAT THIS ROLE IS NOT:

It is not a desk-based management role.

It is not a title-only appointment without financial accountability.

It is not suited to someone who struggles under pressure or requires constant direction.

THE APPOINTMENT.

Our client operates one of the Gold Coast’s most vibrant social hubs, a venue built on consistency, energy, and strong operational systems.

The foundations are solid. The brand is established. The systems are in place.

Now, with continued growth and a clear focus on performance, they are seeking a hands-on Venue Manager to take full control of daily operations, drive commercial outcomes, and provide steady, disciplined leadership.

This role requires someone who treats the venue as their own business, aligns constructively with senior leadership, and operates with maturity, structure, and accountability.

You must be capable of stepping in, stabilising performance, and maintaining standards without ego or volatility.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES.

You will be trusted to:

  • Lead daily operations across bar, floor, kitchen, and entertainment functions.
  • Take full ownership of financial performance, including budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and P&L accountability.
  • Drive revenue growth while maintaining cost control and margin discipline.
  • Identify opportunities to strengthen trade and improve operational efficiency.
  • Build, lead, and develop a large team through structure, clarity, and engagement.
  • Maintain excellence in compliance, safety, and presentation standards.
  • Create a consistent, energised guest experience that builds loyalty and repeat trade.
  • Partner with marketing and events teams to deliver live sport promotions and activations.
  • Manage suppliers, contractors, and service partners to maximise efficiency and profitability.
  • Build a culture of ownership where staff feel supported, accountable, and performance-driven.

This is an outcomes-led leadership role.

Commercial control and emotional maturity are equally important.

WHAT THIS ROLE REQUIRES.

This role will suit you if you:

  • Have demonstrated experience as a Venue Manager or Senior Manager in a large, high-volume hospitality environment.
  • Bring strong financial literacy and commercial acumen, including confident P&L management.
  • Are self-sufficient and capable of running a venue without constant oversight.
  • Demonstrate emotional maturity and resilience under pressure.
  • Can receive direction and collaborate constructively with ownership.
  • Lead with presence, professionalism, and consistency.
  • Understand food, beverage, and service operations at a detailed level.
  • Are comfortable leading from the floor during peak service.
  • Bring energy aligned with live sport and entertainment environments.
  • Communicate clearly and confidently across all levels of the business.
  • Hold a current RMLV and Approved Manager’s Licence (QLD).

This role requires commercial confidence without ego.

Structure without defensiveness.

Energy without volatility.

WHAT’S ON OFFER.

  • Full-time senior leadership role on the Gold Coast.
  • Competitive salary package, negotiable up to $110,000 for the right operator.
  • Performance-based bonus structure aligned to venue outcomes.
  • Real autonomy to shape operations and performance.
  • Immediate commencement available.
  • Support from an established hospitality group with strong brand presence.
  • Career progression within a business expanding nationally.

This is an opportunity to balance commercial leadership with lifestyle while operating within clear performance expectations.
