Position Overview:


The firm is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Immigration Attorney to join its dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess extensive knowledge of immigration law and a passion for advocating on behalf of clients. This is a full-time, onsite position based in the New York City office.


Key Responsibilities:


- Represent clients in immigration proceedings and related legal matters.

- Prepare and file immigration petitions, applications, and supporting documentation.

- Conduct thorough legal research and stay updated on immigration laws and policies.

- Provide expert legal advice and guidance to clients on immigration issues.

- Collaborate with colleagues to develop case strategies and solutions.

- Attend court hearings, interviews, and appeals as necessary.

- Maintain accurate and organized case files and documentation.

- Foster strong client relationships through effective communication and personalized service.


Qualifications:


- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

- Admission to the New York State Bar.

- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience practicing immigration law.

- Strong understanding of U.S. immigration laws, regulations, and procedures.

- Excellent analytical, research, and writing skills.

- Outstanding verbal and written communication abilities.

- Ability to handle a high caseload and work under pressure.

- Demonstrated commitment to providing high-quality legal services.


Preferred Attributes:


- Fluency in a second language.

- Experience with family-based immigration, employment-based immigration, and deportation defense.

- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
