Senior Attorney – Commercial Real Estate Financing

Transactional – New York, NY (Hybrid)

We’re seeking an experienced attorney with 7–15 years in commercial real estate and lender representation. This role covers all aspects of sophisticated real estate finance transactions.

Responsibilities:

• Represent institutional and private equity lenders in financing commercial and mixed-use properties from start to close.
• Draft and negotiate senior, subordinate, mezzanine, preferred equity, and related loan documents across the full capital stack (senior/junior mortgages, mezzanine, construction, bridge, participation, and note-on-note financing).
• Review and revise organizational documents for borrowing entities.
• Prepare and negotiate commitment letters, term sheets, credit agreements, modifications, forbearance agreements, estoppels, SNDAs, intercreditor agreements, and co-lender documents.
• Oversee real estate secured finance transactions, workouts, and restructurings.
• Review title reports, surveys, and manage title clearance.

Qualifications:

• 7–15 years of experience in commercial real estate financing and lender representation.
• Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
• Excellent organizational and communication abilities with proven client-facing experience.
• Proficiency with Microsoft 365.
• Admission to the New York Bar required.
