Senior Structural Engineer/Engineering Manager
We are looking for a Senior Structural Engineer with 8+ years of experience, preferable with at least some experience in consulting engineering. Top candidates will have experience efficiently managing company resources and completing projects on time and on budget, while leading design teams of 5 to 10 members. Candidates will be expected to be detail-oriented, creative, and possess analytical and problem-solving skills. An ideal candidate will display an investigative nature and have great communication skills. Candidates will have knowledge of construction processes, materials, and legal regulations. All candidates must be physically capable of visiting construction sites and clients’ facilities. A PE is required.
· Degree in civil or structural engineering
· Experience in project management
· Ability to efficiently manage company resources to complete projects on time and on budget
· Ability to manage/lead a design team (5-10 team members)
· Ability to liaise with clients and professsionals of other disciplines
· Meticulous attention to detail with superb organizational skills
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team
· Excellent communication skills
· Experience & Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
· Must be physically capable of performing field duties
· Ability to prepare calculations, designs and drawings
· Provide technical advice on safe designs and construction
· Inspect properties to evaluate the conditions and foundations
· 3D modeling for design purposes and the ability to create drawings using AutoCAD and/or Revit
· Experience with structural engineering software such as RISA or Autodesk Robot
· Professional Engineering License REQUIRED
· Must be a self-starter and capable of working with limited guidance
