WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Provide vision and leadership for all aspects of the company's information technology and systems, balancing long-term strategy with hands-on execution in a lean, fast-growing environment.
  • Ensure continuous delivery, reliability, performance, and security of IT services and systems.
  • Develop and execute a forward-looking digital and IT roadmap, identifying and responsibly adopting automation and AI-enabled tools that improve productivity, workflows, and decision-making.
  • Own enterprise security and risk management, including identity and access (MFA, access reviews), endpoint standards, patching, vulnerability management, and security awareness.
  • Ensure resiliency through backup strategy, disaster recovery planning and testing, and documented incident response procedures.
  • Establish practical data governance and collaboration standards, including SharePoint and Teams lifecycle, permissions, and retention practices.
  • Identify, pilot, and operationalize AI use cases with clear guardrails and measurable value, such as knowledge management, workflow automation, reporting, and predictive insights.
  • Own IT budgeting, forecasting, purchasing, and renewals; negotiate vendor contracts and licensing to optimize cost and reduce risk.
  • Approve, prioritize, and manage IT projects and the overall technology portfolio, partnering with leadership to define business and system requirements.
  • Build and maintain trusted relationships at all levels of the organization, from company leadership to teammates in the field, as well as with external vendors and partners.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop the IT team, including recruitment, performance management, and retention, while fostering a collaborative, service-oriented culture.


WHAT YOU BRING

  • Bachelor's degree in information technology, computer science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 8 to 10+ years of progressively responsible IT experience, including leadership roles.
  • Proven ability to balance IT strategy with hands-on execution.
  • Strong experience with enterprise IT infrastructure, networks, and cloud-based systems.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft environments, including Microsoft 365, SharePoint (design, migration, governance), Teams, and collaboration tools.
  • Demonstrated experience managing LAN/WAN, routers, switches, firewalls, VPNs, and security controls.
  • Solid understanding of project management principles and end-to-end system delivery.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts into business language.
  • High integrity, accountability, follow-through, and a strong service orientation with keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to work in the office with periodic job site visits; a valid driver's license and your own transportation are required.
  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check.


BONUS POINTS IF YOU HAVE

  • Experience in construction, AEC, or another field-based industry.
  • Familiarity with construction technology platforms and field collaboration tools.
  • Microsoft, security, or cloud certifications (such as Azure, CISSP, or similar).
