Our client is a leading quantitative trading firm founded in the late 90s. They have built their business on a high-performance platform and independent trading teams. They have a 25+ year track record of innovation and a reputation for discovering unique market opportunities.

It is home to some of the world’s best systematic trading and engineering talent, empowering their portfolio managers to build their teams and strategies independently while providing the economies of scale that come from a large, global organization.

Their Engineers thrive while developing electronic trading infrastructure at a world-class level, solving challenging problems in the realm of low-latency programming, FPGA technology, hardware acceleration, and machine learning. Their ongoing investment in top engineering talent and technology ensures our platform remains unmatched in terms of functionality, scalability, and performance.

Their employees will find a stimulating, results-oriented environment where highly intelligent and motivated colleagues inspire each other to reach their greatest potential.

You Will:

  • Establish best practices in software engineering, testing, CI/CD, and operational support within the team.
  • Coordinate cross-team initiatives involving data engineering, infrastructure, and trading systems.
  • Drive adoption of modern technologies and practices, including distributed computing, containerization, and ML-oriented workflows.

You Have:

  • Bachelor’s, Master’s or PhD degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Applied Mathematics, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of professional software engineering experience, with at least 2+ years in a technical leadership or managerial role.
  • Proven experience building and maintaining complex research, data, or production systems in a quantitative trading, financial technology, or high-performance computing environment.
  • Strong programming expertise in Python, with familiarity in C++ or Rust preferred.
  • Solid understanding of software engineering best practices, including testing, code review, version control, CI/CD, and observability.
  • Demonstrated ability to balance hands-on development with leadership and mentoring responsibilities.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across research and technology teams.
  • Experience leading teams supporting quantitative research or machine learning workflows.
  • Exposure to distributed compute frameworks, modern orchestration (Kubernetes, Airflow), or large-scale data management.

Benefits:
