You Have:


  • Significant programming experience in C
  • Knowledge of scripting languages such as Shell, Python, Perl, etc
  • Knowledge of the Linux kernel and kernel subsystems
  • Experience with kernel patching and debugging and performance optimization
  • Understanding of Linux kernel upstream processes and release cycle
  • Strong grasp of device drivers and other low level system engineering
  • Solid background with git
  • Experience with Linux (RedHat/Rocky/Almalinux/Fedora preferred)
  • Experience with RPM packaging
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, curiosity, flexibility, and accountability


Additional notes

  • The team is looking for a SysAdmin + programmer (kernel development / operational role)
  • Candidates coming from a SaaS Product Development background at Red Hat, Canonical, Google, Amazon, etc. would be great.
  • Any experience in financial services, capital markets, or algorithmic trading would be helpful
  • Kernel development knowledge and professional work experience is an absolute must ,given the kinds of projects the team wants this person to work on (in other words, they must already be a seasoned kernel developer)
  • It would be nice if this person had an interest beyond kernel development
