The ideal candidate will have an excellent knowledge and passion for Smart, Connected, and Healthy Buildings – including hands on experience in scoping, implementing, and integrating the BMS, HVAC, EPMS, and other connected systems. We envisage a successful candidate to be able to perform and lead the assessment, certification, commissioning, and integration projects within the Smart Buildings vertical of the business, this includes working closely with the BIM experts on creating the Digital Twins to unlock new opportunities for operational efficiency, sustainability, and cost reduction, across customer building portfolio. 


Key Role Responsibilities 

  • Working alongside BIM and IoT experts to create accurate Digital Twins of real buildings 
  • Collaborating with the R&D teams to facilitate the data integration and data ingestion from existing building management systems into the Digital Twins 
  • Assessing the customer building portfolio and designing the integration solutions 
  • Performing on-site assessments of legacy and new BAS, BMS, HVAC, EPMS, and other systems in hardware-agnostic way to harness the vital building lifecycle data 
  • Perform critical assessments of customer building systems, human factors, and external conditions, to find the data gathering points, integration opportunities, and edge computing applications 
  • Assessing IoT hardware suppliers, devices, certifications, and QA processes 
  • Designing and coordinating integration projects with partners, suppliers, 3rd party systems 
  • Facilitating the building commissioning and O&M handover processes. 


Skills, Qualifications & Competencies 

  • Experience in design, installation, operation & maintenance of Smart Building systems 
  • Embedded hardware and software engineering with proven track of delivering systems from design stage to manufacturing and after-sales support 
  • Hands on experience in:
  • using GSM, LTE, LTE-m, NB-IoT, LoraWAN, Sigfox, WiFi, Ethernet technologies 
  • implementing UART, Modbus, BACnet/IP, MQTT, CAN, i2c, and other communication protocols 
  • Experience in both invasive and non-invasive (active/passive) hardware integration and connectivity techniques 
  • Good understanding of m2m data exchange techniques (REST, Webhook, Azure Event Hub, etc) between multiple data processing platforms. 


Desired & beneficial skills 

  • Autodesk Revit 
  • Autodesk EAGLE or alternative PCB/schematics design tools 
  • Azure infrastructure: Defender for Cloud/OT, IoT Hub, Event Hub, etc. 
  • Any other relevant construction, electrical and/or mechanical engineering experience 
  • Experience in planning, scheduling, commissioning, and signing of the on-site implementation projects (for example: BMS installation, IoT deployment, Indoor Air Quality sensor installations, etc.)
