We are hiring an Fiserv Applications Engineer who is a highly motivated self-starter, who would be willing to join our client via a six-month contract to hire engagement. In this role, you will be part of a small team of four analysts who provide application analysis and support for our client’s core business systems.
You Will:
- Serve as the subject matter expert for the Fiserv DNA platform
- Generate reports and updates to the Oracle database environment.
- Monitor, run, and resolve scheduled jobs related to the core business systems.
- Read and write SQL queries to extract data for reporting
- Provide technical and non-technical assistance, including, but not limited to, monitoring and resolving IT help desk requests, responding to inquiries, researching and identifying issues as well as determining, recommending, and implementing solutions.
- Monitor production systems for availability, performance, and result alerts as required.
- Study existing systems to evaluate current business processes and develop new processes to improve production or workflow, creating automation using scripting
- Research and evaluate new feature functionality available for applicable systems to determine implementation value.
- Manage multiple relationships with external vendors for systems and third-party applications.
You Have:
- A four-year college degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems or a related field, or commensurate experience.
- Five or more years of experience supporting Fiserv's core banking platforms and strong technical proficiency with the DNA Platform.
- Comprehensive understanding of database concepts, and how data is physically/logically stored within.
- The ability to read and write queries using SQL
- Strong Analytical and Interpersonal Skills
- Highly collaborative, self-starting, and open to doing a wide variety of tasks on a daily basis.
- Experience generating reports using CRMBI or a similar tool
- Willingness to work an on-call rotation and work occasionally on weekends when doing maintenance or upgrades.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Windows Server and Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL)
- Professional experience it IT Operations and Production Controls using OpCon or a similar tool (i.e. Automic, etc.)
- Exposure to PowerShell or Linux Shell Scripting to create scripts and/or automation
- Comfortable working in an OS at the command line level (CLI)
- Comfortable working in a hybrid work environment and being in the office three times/week.
- The ability to complete a credit check and post-offer/pre-employment background check & drug test.
- Eligibility to work in the U.S. for any employer, as sponsorship is not available for this role.
