As a key component of the senior management team, the US BIM Lead will report to the Directors, as well as contributing to the strategic planning and decision making of the business. The US BIM Lead will be primarily responsible, for implementing BIM and digital construction procedures for the whole asset lifecycle. As BIM Lead, you are the interface between designers, clients, contractors, and the supply chain. 

The US BIM Lead will implement a medium-term BIM strategy, focusing on applications, workflows, and BIM standards to include quarterly targets. As this is a new position within the Company, there will be an onus on the BIM Lead to develop the role and manage change. 


Day to Day Responsibilities 

  • Formulate and Implement the Company’s BIM strategy and digital information plans in the United States 
  • Produce monthly reports for the Senior Management team, to identify and measure BIM implementation. 
  • Lead all BIM meetings, identifying project tasks and resolving issues. 
  • Monitor advances in building technology. 
  • Collaborate with all stakeholders to ensure projects are managed efficiently and effectively. 
  • Early and timely engagement with clients to ensure BIM execution plans are produced and maintained for each project. 
  • Train and upskill colleagues in specific software programs. 
  • Raise the profile of BIM within the Company. 
  • Define resource and organization plans to align with the BIM strategy over the 4 years course. 
  • Develop deliverables and design in the BIM process. 
  • Interface with customers and other stakeholders on commercial and opportunity assessments. 
  • Represent the company at conferences and trade shows, speaking on the BIM process. 
  • Liaise with the HR Director, to formulate professional training and development plans for a growing team. 
  • Work closely with customer facing teams to comprehend and meet customer needs. 


Skills, Qualifications & Competencies 

  • Excellent communication and leadership skills combined with an ability to strategize and innovate. 
  • Minimum of a primary degree in Architecture, Construction, or a Built Environment discipline. 
  • Experience of working in senior BIM Management roles. 
  • Experience in formulating BIM strategies in demanding digital environments for Management teams. 
  • Capability in providing BIM workshops and training in the relevant software’s to stakeholders, project teams, and interested parties. 
  • Expertise in monitoring and analyzing the industry.
