We are hiring an energetic Tax Manager to join an amazing new team! The Tax Manager will play a critical role in managing the tax services department, ensuring compliance with tax regulations, and developing strategic tax planning initiatives for our clients. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of tax-free strategies, particularly in the context of investments and entrepreneurial ventures, and will be adept at navigating the complexities of self-directed IRAs and ROBS structures. The position requires excellent analytical skills, strong leadership abilities, and a proactive approach to managing tax-related matters to support the financial goals of our clients.

You Will:

  • Manage and oversee the daily operations of the tax department
  • Prepare and review federal and state income tax returns for individuals and businesses
  • Develop and implement strategic tax planning for all necessary federal and state taxes
  • Identify and mitigate tax risks for clients, communicating clear tax strategies
  •  Coordinate tax accounting staff and assess their performance
  • Improve processes by developing or implementing best practices
  • Manage and coordinate tax audits, providing expertise for the process
  • Prepare all tax papers and handle all information data requests
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local regulations
  • Provide support with various internal audits and special tax-related projects
  • Manage tax team members, ensuring proper training and information is available



You Have: 

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or similar certification
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in a tax manager or public accountant role
  • Strong knowledge of tax code, compliance, and procedures for corporations
  • Familiarity with U.S. federal, state, and local reporting requirements
  • Experience with a variety of tax operations and ability to drive process improvements
  • Exceptional leadership and personnel management skills
  • Analytical skills with detail orientation
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • A passion for working in an office environment daily and being part of a highly collaborative team.
