Our client, a rapidly growing e-commerce company is seeking a Senior Accountant for their team in Mount Pleasant, SC. This is a full-time on-site role, reporting directly to the CFO. The Controller will be responsible for overseeing financial activities, preparing financial reports, monitoring cash flow, managing budgets, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations.

Day to day Responsibilities:

• Oversee and coordinate all daily cash receipts and disbursements.
• Oversee and coordinate all daily accounting entries.
• Work with CFO to design and implement cash/accounting security and control procedures.
• Serve as primary administrator for accounting software/systems.
• Serve as primary administrator for payroll software/systems.
• Serve as primary administrator for sales tax software/systems.
• Work with Operations team to maximize utilization of ERP software/systems.
• Coordinate with internal and external parties to make timely filings of income, sales/use and other tax deposits and returns.
• Work with CFO to generate management reports from various software/systems for use by senior managment team.
• Work with CFO to manage annual and quarterly budgeting processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting. CPA designation preferred.
• 3+ years of experience in an accounting role.
• Strong command of e-commerce platforms. Shopify experience preferred.
• Proficient with various accounting software and tools such as QuickBooks and Excel.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact effectively with senior management and external stakeholders.
