Turning Networks Into Conversation Powerhouses

Do you get a rush from solving telecom puzzles and engineering voice networks that just work — reliably, securely, and at scale? Curious about how AI and voice can transform how entire teams operate?

We’re hiring on behalf of a groundbreaking AI startup backed by Y Combinator and top-tier global VCs. Their mission? To revolutionize how organizations operate through voice-powered AI employees — capable of handling entire workflows like sales, collections, and front-desk operations using natural, human-like conversation. Built on a no-code platform, they’re pioneering a new category of AI automation — right from the UAE, with a global presence and ambitions to scale.

Now, they’re looking for a Network Engineer — someone who thrives on operational precision, voice infrastructure expertise, and collaborative execution. In this role, you’ll be powering the network backbone of AI agents that listen, respond, and get things done like real team members.

This isn’t just network engineering. It’s your chance to help build the future of voice-driven AI work.

What You’ll Be Doing

As a Network Engineer, you’ll be at the technical core of the platform — keeping real-time communications secure, reliable, and performant across global deployments. You’ll be:

  • Configuring and maintaining SIP integrations with carriers, gateways, and enterprise telephony systems
  • Setting up and troubleshooting GSM devices, Signal Point Codes (SPCs), and telecom hardware
  • Performing post-IP configuration sessions to activate client environments and AI voice agents
  • Establishing and managing secure tunnels (IPSec, GRE, Site-to-Site VPNs) across client systems and internal infrastructure
  • Handling firewall rules, NAT traversal, VPN setups, and enforcing endpoint-level security policies
  • Monitoring and resolving call quality issues — including packet loss, jitter, latency, and session disruptions
  • Collaborating with AI, DevOps, and Infra teams to enable seamless real-time data exchange
  • Monitoring traffic, optimizing routing protocols, and ensuring consistent communication uptime
  • Documenting network architectures, configuration logs, and change management steps in detail

What We’re Looking For

You’re someone who’s hands-on, responsive, and always a few packets ahead of the problem. You know the telecom stack inside out and enjoy making complex voice systems feel effortless to users. Here’s what you bring:

  • 3+ years of experience in VoIP/SIP networking or telecom engineering
  • Strong understanding of SIP/RTP, SS7, GSM, SPC, and other signaling protocols
  • Demonstrated experience with tunnel configuration — IPSec, GRE, and VPN provisioning
  • Expertise in TCP/IP, VLANs, routing, NAT, DNS, DHCP
  • Familiarity with firewall platforms (Cisco ASA, Fortinet, Palo Alto)
  • Proficiency with tools like Wireshark, tcpdump, and other Linux-based network utilities
  • Experience working across on-prem and cloud-based network environments
  • Solid communication skills and a disciplined approach to documentation

Bonus Points For:

  • Certifications like CCNA, CCNP, Fortinet NSE, or SIP School SSCA
  • Experience with cloud networking (AWS/GCP/Azure)
  • Exposure to AI-integrated voice systems or telecom innovation environments

Why This Role Matters

The platform you’ll help support isn’t just making calls — it’s leading conversations that result in real business action. From securing low-latency call paths to scaling encrypted tunnels for enterprise-grade clients, your work will power intelligent voice agents across industries.

You’ll be joining a small but fast-moving team, operating at the bleeding edge of telecom, SaaS, and AI. There’s room to shape, build, and lead — with meaningful problems to solve and a massive opportunity to grow.

Next Steps

If this sounds like you — technically sharp, endlessly curious, and ready to help shape the voice infrastructure behind AI-driven work — we’d love to hear from you.

Send in your application so we can review your CV and the details you share about the network challenges you’ve solved, the systems you’ve scaled, or the infrastructure you're most proud of building.

Not sure if your experience lines up 100%? Don’t sweat it. If you’re confident in your skills and excited about the space, we encourage you to reach out.
