Senior level, Mongo Database Engineer to join the Research and Development team. Project will include an in depth analysis around the database needs of our applications and help to optimize them using MongoDB, work closely with development to design, build, and support the data storage, solve Mongo Database related problems around performance and scalability, design solutions for database backups and migrations and work to train and educate our development team on Mongo DB.
Responsibilities
Responsible for planning, design, management, migration and daily maintenance, optimization, backup and recovery of MongoDB database system;
MongoDB performance tuning
In-depth study of the MongoDB database.
Development of MongoDB monitoring and management tools.
Provide MongoDB technical support to development team, as well as data modeling, design review, code review, etc. for related business modules
Other responsibilities as assigned
Qualifications
B.S. or above in Computer Science or a related field of study
3+ years of MongoDB development and management experience
Familiar with MongoDB database design and optimization, proficient in MongoDB's Replica set and Sharding.
Experience in high concurrency handling, familiar with data center design, capacity / performance management and tuning
Proficient in MongoDB cluster management, backup and recovery, etc
Knowledge in C++, C#, Python, Hive, Cassandra, Pig, MySQL or NoSQL or similar.
Familiar with Windows / Linux / Unix operating system, and capable of programming in one or more scripting languages like perl or python
Understanding of other No-SQL technologies (such as Hbase, Cassandra or Redis, etc.) is a plus
Understanding of MySQL or other relational databases is a plus
