HR Generalist
Onsite / Full-time / Jacksonville, FL
NLP Logix is recruiting for a HR Generalist to join its growing team of IT and business professionals on the Data Science team. This position is for a full-time employee, will be based out of Jacksonville, FL and will require less than 5% travel.
NLP Logix is a Data Science services company based in Jacksonville, FL that specializes in AI Solution Development, Machine Learning, and Advanced Analytics which serves a variety of industries and customers across the United States.
The HR Generalist will support the HR department in various functions, including recruitment, employee relations, performance management, benefits administration, compliance with labor laws, and office and executive administration. This role requires a proactive individual with strong organizational and communication skills who can effectively manage multiple HR and office related tasks.
Key Responsibilities
Recruitment and Onboarding:
- Assist in the recruitment process, including job postings, resume screening, and coordinating interviews.
- Facilitate the onboarding process for new hires, ensuring a smooth transition into the company.
Employee Relations:
- Serve as a point of contact for employee inquiries and concerns, providing guidance and support as needed.
- Assist in resolving conflicts and addressing employee issues in a timely and effective manner.
Performance Management:
- Support performance review processes, including scheduling, documentation, and follow-up.
- Provide guidance on performance improvement plans and disciplinary actions as necessary.
Benefits Administration:
- Administer employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and leave policies.
- Assist employees with benefits enrollment, changes, and claims.
Compliance and Record Keeping:
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local labor laws and regulations.
- Maintain accurate and confidential employee records and HR documentation.
Training and Development:
- Coordinate and support employee training and development programs.
- Assist with identifying training needs and evaluating program effectiveness.
HR Projects:
- Participate in HR projects and initiatives, such as policy updates, employee surveys, and wellness programs.
Office Management & Executive Administration:
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the office, including managing supplies, equipment, and facilities maintenance.
- Coordinate office events and meetings, including scheduling, logistics, and catering arrangements.
- Provide Executive Administration as needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience in an HR role, with a broad understanding of HR functions.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with employees at all levels.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and HRIS systems.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Strong knowledge of labor laws and regulations.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Professional HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR) is a plus.
- Experience with ADP Workforce Now is desirable.
