OPPORTUNITY

As Finance Director – FP&A & Central Finance, you’ll lead Group budgeting, forecasting, reporting, performance management and cashflow whilst ensuring the central finance function provides robust control, accurate reporting and scalable processes that can keep pace with the business.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing insightful MI, KPI reporting and commentary to influence decision-making
  • Developing and maintaining Group financial models to support planning and scenario analysis
  • Leading and developing the central finance team (GL, AP, AR, payroll, month end)
  • Maintaining robust governance, control and accounting compliance
  • Driving process improvement, automation and standardisation across finance systems
  • Supporting M&A activity including modelling, synergy evaluation and post-deal integration
  • Acting as a senior business partner to divisional teams and Group executives
  • Deputising for the Group CFO as required

This is a strategic, hands-on role - ideal for someone who enjoys both leadership and delivery in a fast-paced environment.

PERSON

We’re looking for a qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA) with strong FP&A experience combined with robust financial control capability. Experience in a PE-backed or multi-entity Group structure would be advantageous, as would familiarity with buy-and-build environments.

You will bring:

  • Proven experience in FP&A, management reporting and central finance leadership
  • A pragmatic, hands-on approach and strong communication skills
  • Confidence in influencing senior stakeholders and challenging constructively
  • Experience driving process improvement and standardisation
  • The ability to thrive in a fast-moving, evolving business

OFFER

This is a unique Finance Director opportunity within a PE-backed, acquisitive environment - offering exposure, influence and progression in equal measure:

  • Salary up to £110,000 plus benefits including car allowance and up to 20% bonus
  • Hybrid working with East Midlands base
  • Broad remit with visibility to CFO, CEO and investors
  • Genuine scope to shape the function and build a modern, scalable finance platform
  • High-impact role within a growth-focused private equity environment
