Our client is seeking a strategic and hands-on Technical Architecture Manager to lead a team of 6 architects. You are a well-rounded technical leader who has come up through the hands-on development ranks and has some design experience. You will set architecture standards, guide major initiatives, and align technology investments with business strategies.

Duties include (but are not limited to):

• Define and govern architecture standards, principles, and reference patterns
• Lead team developing end-to-end solution design for complex initiatives
• Assess current environments and develop target architecture roadmaps
• Ensure solutions meet scalability, security, and reliability requirements
• Guide teams on microservices, APIs, integrations, and event-driven design
• Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend adoption strategies
• Partner with business, product, security, and engineering stakeholders
• Present architecture recommendations to senior leadership
• Mentor and manage Solution Architecture team members

Requires:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
• 7–10 years across architecture, engineering, integrations, infrastructure, or security
• Proven experience leading technical teams or major architecture initiatives
• Strong background in APIs, microservices, distributed systems (.NET, Java, etc.), and integrations
• Career path in software development and into design
• Deep expertise in cloud and hybrid environments (AWS, GCP)
• Experience with AI platforms/frameworks (e.g., Vertex AI, Bedrock, agentic patterns)
• Proven experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment (SAFe a plus)
• Knowledge of DevOps, CI/CD, Docker, and Kubernetes
• Solid understanding of secure-by-design principles and operational resilience
