About the Role
Our client in Vancouver, a long-standing business with more than 40 years of experience, is looking for an Automotive Technician to join their team. Offering daytime shifts from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday.
Experience with the rebuild of engines and auto repair for European-made vehicles according to manufacturing standards is a requirement.

Main Duties
- Complete repairs and maintenance as outlined in work orders accurately and on time
- Troubleshoot and determine causes of mechanical issues, carrying out the necessary fixes
- Advise the Service Advisor/Director of additional or unnecessary repairs and update on progress
- Keep thorough and precise records of all work performed
- Conduct road tests when required
- Participate in ongoing training and stay informed on new technical developments, sharing knowledge with peers and apprentices
- Mentor and guide Apprentice Technicians as assigned
- Perform routine service such as fluid changes, lubrication, and filter replacements
- Maintain a tidy, organized work area and follow all safety and environmental guidelines
What We’re Looking For
- At least 2-3 years’ hands-on experience with European makes
- Clean driver's abstract, and an active driver's license
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to manage workload efficiently and meet deadlines
- Clear and professional communication skills, both spoken and written
- Team-oriented approach with excellent interpersonal skills
- Flexible and adaptable, able to handle urgent requests and new technology
- Eagerness to keep learning and applying new skills
