STRIVE Recruitment is currently hiring a CNC 5 Axis Machinist for a growing fabrication shop in NewMarket, ON. RESPONSIBILITES

• Operate two (2) 5-axis CNC machines
• Perform machine setup and manage tooling requirements
• Machine H13 steel die cast cavity inserts
• Set up of machines
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and work instructions
• Verify dimensions and tolerances using precision measuring tools (micrometers, calipers, CMM, gauges)
• Load, modify, and prove out CNC programs as required
• Monitor machining processes and make offsets or adjustments to maintain quality
• Inspect finished parts to ensure conformance to specifications

REQUIREMENTS

• CNC 5 axis expereince
• Knowledge of Mazak controls is considered an asset.
• Strong communication skills
• Basic computer skills required
• Experience with Microsoft Office is an asset
• Experience with DMG DMU 5-axis machines is an asset
• Familiarity with Heidenhain controls is an asset
