ABOUT THE ROLE:

We’re looking for a licensed Plumber with strong leadership potential to take on the role of Site Supervisor for mechanical construction projects. This opportunity is well-suited for a Red Seal–certified plumber with practical mechanical experience who’s ready to lead field activities, oversee small crews, and support project delivery under the mentorship of a senior Site Supervisor or Project Manager. This role blends technical know-how, site-level oversight, and team leadership in a safety-focused work environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage and coordinate field project activities
  • Supervise and mentor a small crew of Apprentices, Journeypersons, and Subtrades
  • Plan and execute daily workflow, including tasks such as:
  • Plumbing, pipe fitting, measuring, cutting, coring, trenching, layout, and installation
  • Ensure all work is performed in compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies
  • Conduct hazard analysis, safety inspections, and maintain site documentation
  • Coordinate material requisitions, deliveries, and equipment logistics with procurement
  • Track and manage timecards, incident reports, inspections, and site instructions
  • Communicate and coordinate with clients, project team members, and other trades
  • Monitor project progress and report updates
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized job site
  • Delegate tasks and responsibilities appropriately while maintaining accountability
  • Identify and address technical or operational issues; escalate complex problems when necessary
  • Ensure quality standards are upheld throughout construction phases
  • Provide support in documentation for ISO/Quality Control processes


REQUIREMENTS:

  • Licensed Journeyperson / Red Seal in a mechanical trade (Plumbing, Pipefitting)
  • Member in good standing with their trade organization
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driver’s abstract
  • Demonstrated leadership of at least 3 personnel in a journeyperson role
  • Strong communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to read and interpret IFC (Issued for Construction) drawings
  • Completion of (or commitment to complete) required training within 2 years, including:
  • Health & Safety Supervisor Training
  • Merit Ontario (2IC Training)
  • 4S Supervisor Training
  • Construction/Project Management (Scheduling, Communication, Forecasting)
  • ISO/Quality Management Training
  • Proactive in learning new systems, codes, safety policies, and technical tools
  • Able to assess site risks and involve safety/management when needed
  • Committed to supporting and mentoring less experienced team members
