  • Lead month-end and year-end closing activities, ensuring accuracy and adherence to deadlines.
  • Prepare and analyze financial statements, management reports, and variance analyses.
  • Oversee accounts payable and receivable, ensuring accurate and timely processing.
  • Conduct bank, credit card, and intercompany reconciliations.
  • Support budgeting and forecasting processes with accurate data and analysis.
  • Assist with audits by preparing working papers, schedules, and supporting documentation.
  • Maintain and improve internal controls, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with U.S. portfolio companies to provide timely financial insights.
  • Mentor and support junior accounting staff as required.

Qualifications

  • 3–5 years of progressive accounting experience, ideally within investment, advisory, or multi-entity environments.
  • Proficiency with QuickBooks Online (minimum 2 years hands-on experience).
  • Post-secondary degree or diploma in Accounting or Finance (Bachelor’s degree preferred).
  • Enrolment in or completion of the CPA designation program is strongly preferred.
  • Strong Excel skills (advanced formulas, pivot tables, lookups, and data analysis).
  • Experience preparing financial statements and supporting audits.
  • Strong organizational skills, with attention to detail and accuracy under tight deadlines.
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to work with cross-border teams.
