THE ROLE
Strive is working with a reputable company on a search for a Heavy Equipment Field Technician. In this role, you’ll be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of construction equipment, including earthmoving, aerial, and compact machinery. This is a permanent opportunity for someone who works well independently, has strong mechanical and troubleshooting skills, and enjoys a fast-paced, on-the-go work environment. Based out of Etobicoke, ON, you’ll primarily be on the road responding to client service calls, while occasionally assisting with shop-based repairs. A minimum of 4 years’ experience with heavy construction equipment is required.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Diagnose, repair, and maintain heavy construction equipment on client job sites, including earthmoving, aerial, and compact machinery
- Perform inspections and tests to ensure proper equipment performance and safety
- Assist with equipment maintenance and repairs in the shop as required
- Provide high-quality customer service in all interactions
- Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of inspections, maintenance, and work orders
- Follow all company Health and Safety Policies to ensure a safe work environment
- Adapt to changing priorities and manage multiple service requests efficiently
REQUIREMENTS
- 4 years of mechanical experience working on heavy construction equipment
- Heavy Equipment Technician License (421A or 310T) is an asset
- Valid G-Class driver’s license with a clean or satisfactory abstract
- Must have a full set of tools
- Willing to work overtime and participate in an on-call rotation as needed
- Proficient with diagnostic software and modern repair tools
- Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulic systems, and mechanical components
- Excellent problem-solving skills and a customer-focused mindset
- Self-starter capable of working independently with minimal supervision
- Ability to lift 50 lbs
