The Role

Our client, a well-established organization in the automotive industry, is seeking an Administrator to join their Hamilton office. This is a dynamic, hands-on position responsible for providing administrative support across multiple departments, including payroll, HR, accounting, scheduling, and customer relations.


The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and enjoys working in a fast-paced environment where every day is different. This role also includes opportunities to get involved in event planning and social media coordination, perfect for someone who loves variety in their work.


Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day administrative tasks to support the operations team
  • Process payroll, maintain employee records, and assist with HR-related documentation
  • Handle Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable, and assist with collections as needed
  • Schedule and coordinate meetings, events, and appointments
  • Support company event planning, including BBQs, golf tournaments, and holiday parties
  • Manage customer inquiries by phone and email with professionalism and care
  • Assist with data entry and general record keeping
  • Oversee social media and contribute to content creation and posting
  • Maintain organized filing systems (both electronic and paper)


Requirements

  • Minimum 1+ year of administrative experience in a professional office environment
  • Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Experience with QuickBooks or other accounting software (an asset)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines
  • Positive attitude, flexibility, and a willingness to take initiative
  • Event planning or marketing coordination experience is an asset
