THE ROLE

We are currently seeking a Warehouse Associate for our client located in Delta, BC. This is a full-time, temporary-to-permanent opportunity offering day shifts from Monday to Friday. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of the warehouse through safe forklift operation, accurate order handling, and efficient material management.


You’ll be joining a small, close-knit team where safety, communication, and independence are highly valued.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Load and unload materials, stock, or pile materials in designated areas
  • Operate counterbalance, 4-directional reach trucks, and electric pallet jacks
  • Ensure all work is performed safely and in accordance with company safety policies
  • Pick and prepare orders accurately for shipment
  • Schedule core carriers or couriers to deliver shipments as required
  • Receive all incoming orders and check for visible damage or shortages
  • Load and unload containers and trucks with a forklift, handling awkward or long loads (up to 30 ft)
  • Maintain a tidy and organized warehouse workspace
  • Measure racking systems and materials using tape measures (to fractional measurements)
  • Measure and cut wood or metal materials as required
  • Perform basic frame assembly and use hand and power tools safely
  • Follow established safety procedures during all handling and off-loading operations
  • Read and verify packing slips, perform inventory checks, and maintain documentation accuracy



REQUIREMENTS

  • 3+ years of warehouse experience
  • Valid forklift certification (counterbalance and reach truck license)
  • Strong safety awareness and adherence to safety policies
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently
  • Comfortable handling long or heavy loads
  • Ability to read and interpret packing slips and measure accurately
  • Ability to utilize hand and power tools
  • Computer knowledge and experience with BOLs are considered an asset
