The Role

We are seeking a professional and personable temporary receptionist to provide coverage for a short-term leave of absence in a busy professional services office. This role offers the opportunity to work in a supportive environment with long-standing employees and great leadership.

Responsibilities

  • Greet and direct clients and visitors in a professional and welcoming manner
  • Manage incoming calls and direct them appropriately
  • Schedule appointments for consultations and sessions
  • Enter and maintain client information in the department database
  • Receive and record client payments accurately
  • Photocopy, scan, email, and organize documents as required
  • Sort and distribute incoming mail, prepare outgoing mail and courier packages
  • Save emails and correspondence to paperless filing systems


Requirements

  • Secondary school diploma or post-secondary education in a related field
  • 1–2 years of receptionist experience in a professional office environment
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Experience with Ascend software is an asset
  • Demonstrates professionalism, sensitivity, and respect in all client and colleague interactions
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Highly organized with effective time-management skills
  • Able to handle payments and client inquiries with discretion and care
