The Role
This Talent Acquisition Manager role is responsible for executing the organization’s talent strategy and building a scalable recruitment function that supports growth. Reporting initially to senior People & Culture leadership and later integrating more closely with HR operations, this position focuses on translating hiring strategy into practical, effective recruiting processes.
The role works closely with hiring managers across functions and regions to deliver strong hiring outcomes, improve recruitment infrastructure, and enhance employer brand presence. It also oversees external vendor partnerships and helps build early-career programs. This is a hands-on, high-ownership role suited for someone who enjoys building, optimizing, and scaling recruitment practices.
Responsibilities
- Partner with hiring managers to understand needs, develop job postings, and guide interview and selection processes
- Lead full-cycle recruitment across multiple functions and regions from intake to offer and onboarding hand-off
- Source, screen, and engage candidates while leveraging agencies strategically when needed
- Deliver a strong and consistent candidate experience
- Track and improve key metrics such as time-to-fill, cost-per-hire, and quality-of-hire
- Provide hiring insights and reporting to People & Culture leadership
- Evaluate, manage, and optimize recruitment vendors and agency partnerships
- Negotiate vendor agreements and monitor recruitment spend and ROI
- Support and execute employer branding initiatives, recruitment marketing, and candidate materials
- Partner with marketing to strengthen employer brand visibility
- Design and manage co-op, internship, and early-career programs
- Build relationships with universities and represent the organization at career events
- Standardize recruitment processes and improve workflows
- Evaluate and recommend recruitment tools and systems
- Build dashboards and provide hiring insights to support workforce planning
Requirements
- 5–7 years of progressive talent acquisition experience, ideally in a growth or scaling environment
- Proven ability to manage multiple searches and stakeholders simultaneously
- Experience recruiting across Canada and the U.S.
- Experience assessing and managing recruitment vendors and agencies
- Experience supporting co-op, intern, or early-career programs
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Builder mindset with comfort creating and improving systems and processes
- Data-driven approach with experience using recruiting tools, analytics, and reporting
