THE ROLE

We are hiring a Machine Operator to join a plastic manufacturing facility in Paris, Ontario. In this role, you will operate machinery, assist with production processes, and ensure products meet quality standards. This is an afternoon shift position. It’s a temp-to-perm opportunity with a growing company that takes pride in producing high-quality industrial components.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Operate and monitor production machinery safely and efficiently
• Load raw materials and set up machines according to production specifications
• Monitor product quality and make adjustments to ensure specifications are met
• Perform routine inspections, maintenance, and cleaning of equipment
• Keep accurate production records and report any issues to the supervisor
• Working with hand tools to assemble parts
• Follow all health and safety guidelines and company procedures
• Collaborate with team members to maintain a smooth and productive workflow

REQUIRMENTS

• 5+ years of manufacturing or production experience
• Plastic industry expeirence is nice to have
• Able to lift up to 15-20 lbs repeatedly
• Mechanically inclined
• Experience with hand tools
• Comfortable working in hot temperatures and using an overhead hoist
• Experience with computers or ERP systems
• Fluent in English, with good communication skills
• Able to work independently and as part of a team
• Willing to work rotating afternoon and night shifts
• Must have reliable transportation as this is not on a bus route
