THE ROLE

As an industrial spray painter, you will be working in a manufacturing plant, painting car parts. This is a great permanent opportunity for someone who enjoys 3-day weekends (off Friday to Monday afternoon). You will be working in a team environment on the afternoon shift. This is a growing company that is very busy right now. This position is located in Milton for a medium size manufacturing plant.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Able to read paint specifications and requirements
  • Determine and follow the appropriate mixing requirements for single-stage paint application
  • Understanding of the requirements for proper application of paint.
  • Ability to confirm if bodywork is acceptable and conforms to drawing specification
  • Competent in best practices of refinishing preparation
  • Ability to work under high-pressure
  • Prepare jobs for paint.
  • Ability to follow schedule and ensure timely completion of orders
  • High drive and sense of urgency.


REQUIREMENTS:

  • 3-5 years of industrial spray painting experience
  • Experience with wet paint pressure pot application
  • Experience applying PPG Delfleet evolution product.
  • Able to read product labels to mix paints
  • Willing to prep
  • Quality checks and mil thickness reporting
  • Maintain stock and report requirements on product.
  • General maintenance of paint equipment and cleaning as required.
  • Strong organizational skills and detail-oriented
  • Excellent work ethic with a focused pride of workmanship
  • 310B certification an asset
  • Deftness and attention to detail
