THE CLIENT

We are partnering with a leading global real estate investment management firm to recruit a Senior Corporate Accountant to join their finance team. The Senior Corporate Accountant role will focus on the accounting and reporting for a group of business units, working closely with internal stakeholders across the business.

 

Reporting to the Assistant Controller, this is an excellent Senior Corporate Accountant opportunity for someone who enjoys a mix of technical accounting, reporting, and business partnering within a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

Financial Reporting & Month-End

  • Prepare monthly financial reporting packages, including financial statements, variance analysis, and balance sheet reconciliations
  • Support month-end close processes and ensure accuracy and timeliness of reporting

Full-Cycle Accounting

  • Perform bank reconciliations, journal entries, and expense accruals
  • Manage accounts receivable, billings, and collections
  • Maintain fixed assets, leases (IFRS 16), intangibles, and intercompany accounts
  • Handle foreign currency revaluations and consolidations
  • Maintain partner accounts including contributions, distributions, and earnings

Regulatory & Compliance

  • Prepare quarterly reporting packages for U.S. regulatory requirements (including FINRA)
  • Support regulatory filings across various U.S. jurisdictions
  • Assist with tax filings, VAT/tax reconciliations, and corporate tax analysis

Business Partnering & Analysis

  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow planning
  • Assist with management reporting and profitability analysis
  • Collaborate with internal teams on accounting matters and financial insights

Projects & Continuous Improvement

  • Identify and implement process improvements across systems and workflows
  • Support system enhancements and automation initiatives
  • Contribute to ad hoc projects and cross-functional initiatives

Audit & Year-End

  • Assist with year-end audit requirements and external auditor requests

 

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

  • CPA designation (or actively pursuing)
  • 4+ years of full-cycle accounting experience
  • Strong understanding of IFRS, including IFRS 16 (leases)
  • Experience in real estate or investment management is an asset
  • Advanced Excel skills; exposure to systems such as Yardi, Concur, or similar is an asset
