The Role

An established law firm is seeking a temporary Estate Paralegal for a 14-month contract, with the possibility of extension into a permanent full-time role. This position is ideal for someone who is highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing a high volume of work in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will support a busy estate practice and handle matters from initial intake through file completion, working closely with both internal team members and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Assist with complex estate transactions from opening to completion.
• Draft legal documents and correspondence related to estate matters.
• Handle wills, estate documentation, and related file work.
• Organize, maintain, and review client files, ensuring all outstanding items are addressed.
• Communicate and coordinate with clients, counsel, and other parties involved in estate files.
• Manage administrative tasks, including scheduling, document preparation, and file organization.
• Support additional estate-related or administrative duties as required.

Requirements

• 3–5 years of experience as a Paralegal in a busy estates practice.
• Strong proficiency with MS Word and Outlook.
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Excellent client service and communication skills.
• Ability to learn quickly and work effectively in both independent and mentored environments.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and handle a high volume of work in a fast-paced setting.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
