THE ROLE

STRIVE Recruitment has partnered with a leading design and construction firm specializing in luxury multi-unit residential projects. This company is renowned for its craftsmanship, premium finishes, and its portfolio includes some of Vancouver’s most high-profile developments. They are seeking a Project Accountant to join their close-knit accounting team in a stunning, design-forward office space.

 

The Project Accountant role is ideal for a detail-oriented accounting professional who thrives in a creative, fast-paced environment and enjoys being closely involved in the financial side of high-end projects.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Review and verify supplier invoices with Project Directors
  • Process payments via wire, EFT, and cheque
  • Code and enter invoices into the ERP system with accuracy
  • Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies promptly
  • Maintain and onboard vendor records
  • Support Project Directors with tracking change orders and cost allocations
  • Assist with month-end and year-end close related to payables
  • Reconcile company credit cards and review expense transactions
  • Support GST/PST filings and other regulatory reconciliations
  • Provide additional accounting and administrative support as required


QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration (preferred)
  • Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, ERP systems (ideally Spectrum), and Mac OS
