Senior Full Stack Developer

The Role

As a Senior Full Stack Developer at Tolstoy, you’ll work across the stack—from design to deployment—to deliver cutting-edge features that delight customers and scale reliably. You’ll collaborate with product, AI, sales, and customer teams, while shaping the architecture and guiding engineering best practices. This is a hands-on technical leadership role: you’ll not only code but also mentor, set standards, and make decisions that impact our long-term product vision.

Responsibilities

• End-to-End Development: Lead the design, implementation, testing, and deployment of new features.
• Feature Leadership: Own development of high-impact product initiatives, from requirements through delivery.
• Architecture & Scalability: Contribute to system architecture and ensure performance in an AI-augmented environment.
• Cross-Team Collaboration: Partner with product, AI ops, and customer-facing teams to deliver seamless experiences.
• Code Quality & Mentorship: Conduct code reviews, guide junior developers, and uphold engineering excellence.
• Operational Best Practices: Support CI/CD processes, system monitoring, and documentation as the platform evolves.
• Knowledge Sharing: Create and maintain internal knowledge bases, including best practices and troubleshooting guides.

Requirements

• 7+ years of software development experience.
• Proven ability to lead complex features from design to production. • Strong expertise with React, Node.js, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS. • Experience mentoring developers and driving code quality.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Must-Know Tools & Technologies

• Frontend: React, Styled Components, JavaScript, HTML, CSS.
• Backend: Node.js, REST APIs, GraphQL.
• Cloud: AWS (Lambda, DynamoDB, Serverless framework) – other cloud platforms a plus. • CI/CD & Version Control: Git, automated testing, and deployment pipelines.
• Monitoring & Performance: Familiarity with tools like Prometheus, Grafana, or equivalent. • Bonus: Experience working with AI-integrated systems.
