The Manager of Out-of-Home (OOH) Investment is responsible for leading the planning, negotiation, and execution of out-of-home media investments across client portfolios. This role will focus on maximizing efficiency and value through strategic negotiation, strong vendor relationships, and innovative use of both traditional and digital OOH media.
Operating within a corporate trade environment, the Manager will identify opportunities to leverage trade-based media solutions and non-disclosed pricing structures to deliver meaningful savings and incremental value to clients while maintaining the integrity of internal pricing models.
This position requires a hands-on investment leader who can manage day-to-day negotiations, maintain strong relationships within the OOH marketplace, and proactively identify opportunities to elevate the organization’s presence and thought leadership within the industry.
The Manager will also mentor and develop junior talent, helping to build strong investment capabilities across the team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Media Investment & Negotiation:
- Lead the negotiation and placement of OOH media across national and local markets for all traditional and digital OOH.
- Secure premium inventory and best-in-market pricing through strategic negotiations and long-standing industry relationships.
- Identify opportunities to maximize efficiency and pass meaningful cost savings to clients.
- Evaluate vendor proposals and structure deals that balance pricing, quality inventory, and campaign objectives.
- Continuously monitor marketplace conditions to ensure clients are receiving competitive pricing and value.
- Strategic Growth & Market Development:
- Identify opportunities to expand the organization’s OOH investment footprint across existing client portfolios.
- Partner with internal teams to proactively recommend new OOH opportunities that align with client objectives and drive incremental media investment.
- Educate internal stakeholders and clients on the evolving OOH landscape, including emerging formats, measurement capabilities, and innovative executions.
- Develop compelling recommendations that demonstrate how OOH can enhance broader media strategies and drive business outcomes.
- Create and maintain materials that support business growth including market overviews, industry reports, case studies, and a portfolio of successful OOH executions.
- Work closely with senior leadership to identify strategic vendor partnerships and marketplace opportunities that strengthen the organization’s position in the OOH ecosystem.
- Vendor & Industry Relationships:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key OOH media owners and representatives.
- Position the organization as a trusted and strategic partner within the OOH vendor community.
- Stay closely connected to marketplace developments including new inventory, technologies, and measurement capabilities.
- Market Intelligence & Thought Leadership:
- Develop regular OOH marketplace overviews and industry updates for internal teams and clients.
- Compile best-in-class OOH case studies that highlight innovative executions and successful campaigns.
- Maintain a portfolio of the organization’s OOH work to support business development and marketing initiatives.
- Identify emerging trends, technologies, and opportunities that can strengthen the organization’s presence within the OOH landscape.
- Team Leadership & Development:
- Manage and mentor an Associate-level team members responsible for supporting OOH planning and buying efforts.
- Provide training and guidance on negotiation strategies, vendor management, and campaign execution.
- Foster a collaborative and high-performance investment culture.
Qualifications:
- 3-5+ years of media experience with a strong focus on Out-of-Home investment.
- Proven track record negotiating OOH media and delivering strong pricing and value.
- Deep relationships within the OOH vendor community.
- Strong understanding of traditional and digital OOH formats and marketplace dynamics.
- Experience evaluating media proposals and structuring efficient investment strategies.
- Ability to synthesize market information into clear insights and recommendations.
- Strong organizational, communication, and presentation skills.
- Experience mentoring or managing junior team members preferred.
- Familiarity with corporate trade media
