Director of Retail
We are seeking a proactive and strategic Director of Retail to drive our retail strategy and execution. You will work closely with our SVP of Sales to build and nurture relationships with retail partners, lead marketing strategies, and ensure brand consistency while driving accelerated sales growth and profitability. Your leadership will be vital in shaping our retail landscape and maximizing market potential.
What you’ll do…
· Drive the execution of retail sales initiatives, ensure optimal performance across all retail channels, and manage retailer marketing calendars
· Manage sales initiatives, promotions, and programming, using data analytics to identify trends and adjust strategies as necessary to meet growth targets
· P&L Management - oversee spending against approved retailer marketing and expense budgets, ensuring alignment with revenue and profitability targets. Document, reconcile, and monitor all brand spending within retailer channels
· Collaborate with marketing and product teams to maintain brand integrity and consistency across all retail touchpoints.
· Lead project briefs and timelines to facilitate in-market expansion and sales efforts
· Utilize business intelligence and analytics to assess sales performance, develop growth strategies, and manage planning and forecasting activities
· Recruit, develop, and lead a high-performing retail sales team (including field support), fostering growth to meet company sales objectives and support individual career advancement
· Establish and nurture relationships with key retail partners, ensuring effective communication and alignment on brand objectives

· Bachelor’s Degree
· Minimum of 5-7 years of beauty retail experience; ULTA experience is required
· Experience managing, optimizing, and reporting against an annual spending budget and annual sales target
· Extremely knowledgeable in the retail industry; Experience with a variety of retail concepts, practices, and procedures a plus
· Experience with new product launches and new program initiative rollouts across multiple channels
· Effective at building strong cross-functional relationships and assuming shared leadership
· Strong team leadership and management skills – demonstrated ability to attract, develop, and maintain high performers
· Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
· Self-starter, team player, and passionate about delivering results
