Integration Specialist
In this role, you’ll work directly with clients and third-party vendors to configure, test, and launch seamless connections—especially 401(k) and retirement plan integrations. This position is ideal for someone who loves problem-solving, understands payroll and benefit data, and can translate between technical requirements and real client needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Configure and implement benefit integrations (401(k), FSA/HSA, COBRA, and ancillary vendors) within the HCM environment.
- Own the setup and testing of 401(k) file feeds and API connections, including experience with PayKonnect and similar vendors (e.g., EDI/834, Fidelity, Voya, Empower, Transamerica).
- Map deduction codes, validate employee and payroll data, and ensure accuracy in contribution files (180/360).
- Partner closely with clients, payroll teams, and vendor contacts to guide them through requirements, testing, and go-live.
- Troubleshoot mapping issues, transmission errors, and vendor-specific data nuances.
- Identify opportunities to improve integration workflows and enhance the client onboarding experience.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- 2–5+ years in HCM/HRIS implementations, payroll, or benefits technology.
- Hands-on experience with 401(k) vendor integrations—PayKonnect strongly preferred.
- Solid understanding of payroll deductions, employer match rules, and benefit eligibility logic.
- Comfort working with flat-file formats, SFTP, data mapping, and Excel-based validation.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to manage multiple projects at once.
- A proactive, solution-oriented mindset aligned with the client-first approach.
