Job Title: VP of Integrations
Position Summary
We often say, “We are in the integration business.” This is because the integrations capability is the linchpin to our growth model—BIG (“Buy, Integrate, Grow”). We are seeking a dynamic and experienced individual to be our first integrations leader. This leader’s focus will be to build the post-acquisition integration function across our portfolio.
Our investment model is atypical: rather than operating a typical PE portfolio operations team, our team functions day-to-day as the leadership team within each company we build. The VP of Integrations will be a high-impact senior leader, implementing best-in-class post-acquisition integration capabilities, organization, and local leadership at every company we build.
This high-impact role is responsible for end-to-end integration management—across operational, cultural, and strategic dimensions—in close collaboration with leadership across the parent firm and portfolio companies, including local operating executives, functional teams (e.g., finance, IT, HR, compliance), and senior management. A successful VP will establish and execute a scalable integration playbook within our portfolio companies and as we expand into new industries.
The ideal candidate brings a strong track record of managing complex integrations across diverse businesses, ideally in a multi-entity or multi-site environment and with exposure to technology implementations and / or integrations. The VP of Integrations must be adept at navigating both strategic and tactical workstreams, driving alignment across senior leadership, and fostering consistency in how integrations are executed across the portfolio. This role requires a mix of structured operational rigor and nuanced stakeholder engagement—building credibility across a variety of management teams, surfacing and resolving cross-functional challenges, and accelerating the adoption of systems, processes, and cultural frameworks that align with our long-term value creation strategy.
Key Responsibilities
· Pre-Close Diligence Support: Advise on integration complexity and risk during pre-close diligence to support acquisition planning and deal execution continuity.
Lead and Manage Integrations Across the Portfolio: Oversee integration efforts across all platforms, ensuring timely, effective execution across critical functional areas including finance, IT, HR, compliance, operations, and local leadership.
· Build Multi-Layer Organization: Build the integrations capability within each company we launch, and then establish and oversee a company-level integrations organization and leadership team across all of our businesses.
· Project Management Excellence: Manage each integration as a high-priority initiative—defining plans, milestones, interdependencies, risks, and accountability across workstreams.
· Executive & Local Stakeholder Engagement: Serve as the primary integration lead across acquired companies and internal teams, building strong working relationships with operating executives, corporate function heads, and platform leadership from day one.
· Cross-Functional Coordination: Act as the integration “quarterback,” aligning internal and platform-specific teams, facilitating coordinated execution, and ensuring ownership of deliverables across corporate and operating company functions.
· Cultural & Organizational Integration: Lead the softer dimensions of integration—partner onboarding, internal communications, cultural assimilation, and change management—to ensure a smooth transition and long-term alignment with firm values and operating principles.
· Integration Playbook Ownership & Evolution: Apply and continuously enhance a standardized integration playbook that enables repeatable, scalable success. Proactively identify risks, resolve integration bottlenecks, and adapt best practices across platforms.
· Progress Monitoring & Executive Reporting: Establish and maintain integration dashboards, tracking key milestones, KPIs, and risk indicators. Provide regular updates to leadership to ensure transparency, informed decision-making, and alignment on post-close synergies and value creation tied to platform- and firm-level investment theses.
· Platform & Functional Alignment: Partner with platform and functional leaders to promote consistency across integration efforts, ensure learnings are shared, and drive continuous improvement across the broader company ecosystem.
· Integration Team Leadership & Buildout: Recruit, mentor, and manage a high-performing team to expand the capacity and reach of the integration function, ensuring the company can support increasing deal volume and platform complexity over time.
Position Requirements
Minimum
· 10+ years of experience in operational leadership, integration management, or cross-functional program execution roles—preferably within private equity-backed or multi-entity businesses.
· Proven ability to lead complex integrations across multiple workstreams (finance, HR, IT, legal/compliance, operations) with cross-organizational visibility and C-suite engagement.
· Strong business acumen with a working understanding of how service-oriented businesses operate—including workflow, org design, systems adoption, and client/customer experience.
· Exceptional stakeholder management skills, with a proven ability to build trust and influence across diverse internal and external stakeholders, including founders, management teams, and corporate leadership.
· Highly organized, execution-driven, and comfortable operating in dynamic, high-change environments with limited precedent or structure.
· Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to drive alignment across functions and levels of seniority.
· Willingness to travel regularly to integration sites and platform offices across geographies as required by deal flow and integration schedules.
· Entrepreneurial mindset with a bias toward action, comfort with ambiguity, and eagerness to build and scale organizational infrastructure.
· Strong personal integrity, emotional intelligence, and the ability to lead by example.
· Demonstrated ability to manage, coach, and elevate junior team members and functional leads involved in integration execution.
· Embody the core values: Winning Together, Honesty, Hard Work, and Relentlessness--not-Recklessness.
Preferred
· Experience leading technology implementations or digital transformation initiatives—especially core business systems (e.g., ERP, CRM, HRIS, or workflow tools)—and ability to partner closely with technical teams to drive adoption and impact.
· Familiarity with project management platforms (e.g., Smartsheet, Asana, Monday.com) to drive visibility and coordination across integration workstreams.
· Formal or informal experience in change management, playbook development, or systems/process rollouts.
