Senior Accounting Manager
Seeking an experienced Senior Accounting Manager to lead and own the full accounting lifecycle for the growing organization. This role requires deep operational expertise, a strategic mindset, and a hands-on approach to building scalable financial systems. You’ll oversee everything from client billing setup and revenue recognition to monthly close, financial reporting, and bank reconciliations—playing a critical role in ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency across all accounting functions.

What You'll Be Doing:
- Own and manage the end-to-end accounting function—from client billing setup and invoicing to revenue recognition and monthly close.
- Lead the preparation of accurate and timely financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
- Partner cross-functionally with Sales, Legal, and Customer Success to ensure accurate contract set-up and billing.
- Establish and improve processes for invoicing, collections, revenue tracking, and cost allocations.
- Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, including cash, revenue, AR, and deferred revenue.
- Manage bank reconciliations, journal entries, and month-end close procedures.
- Drive continuous improvement in accounting processes and internal controls.
- Support internal and external audits, compliance reporting, and tax filings.
- Evaluate, implement, and optimize accounting systems and tools.
- Serve as a strategic advisor on financial operations, reporting, and planning initiatives.
Qualifications
- 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, with 3+ years in a managerial or senior-level role.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, revenue recognition (ASC 606), and financial reporting.
- Experience in SaaS or subscription-based businesses highly preferred.
- Proven ability to build and scale accounting operations in a fast-growing company.
- Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, QuickBooks, Stripe, Ramp, Aleph, or similar) and billing platforms.
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- High attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
- CPA preferred but not required.
- Comfortable working in fast-paced, startup environments with cross-functional collaboration.
