We are hiring an Electrical Engineer to support the operations and sustainment of complex space-based and ground systems. In this role, you’ll contribute directly to mission-critical architectures—working across disciplines to design, analyze, and verify electrical systems that must perform reliably in demanding environments.
This position plays a key role in ensuring electrical designs are integrated, compliant, and ready for long-term operational success.
What You’ll Do
Electrical Design & Integration (Priority Focus)
You’ll support electrical engineering efforts across the full lifecycle, including:
- Assisting in the development and flow-down of electrical subsystem and box-level requirements for both space-based and ground electronic architectures
- Developing, reviewing, and refining Electrical Interface Control Documents (ICDs)
- Collaborating across engineering disciplines to shape and mature space-based electrical architectures
- Performing power analysis and power estimates for space electrical systems
- Supporting planning, preparation, and execution of integration, test, verification, and documentation activities
- Preparing and delivering technical presentations to peers, leadership, and customers
- Providing electrical subject-matter expertise to technical risk and opportunity assessments, including impact, probability, mitigation strategies, and opportunity capture
- Orchestrating assigned technical tasks and resolving blockers to ensure timely closure
- Working closely with internal and external customers in a cross-disciplinary engineering environment
- Partnering with mechanical and thermal engineering teams to define and refine electrical box-level requirements
- Coordinating with EMI/EMC and Systems Engineering teams to ensure electrical requirement compliance
- Supporting the development and refinement of grounding diagrams and grounding architectures
Systems Engineering & Modeling Responsibilities
In addition to hands-on electrical work, you’ll support model-based and systems engineering activities, including:
- Assisting with root of trust / chain of trust requirement implementation and verification
- Authoring and reviewing electrical interface control drawings
- Reviewing and maintaining system grounding diagrams
- Reviewing and maintaining system power budgets
- Incorporating electrical system data into Cameo MBSE models (including ICDs and IBDs)
- Supporting requirements compliance, traceability, and verification from Level 5 to Level 4
What You’ll Bring
- Electrical engineering experience supporting space-based and/or ground system architectures
- Understanding of root of trust and chain of trust concepts, including firmware and software implementation
- Familiarity with systems engineering tools and methodologies, specifically MBSE and Cameo
- Ability to collaborate effectively across multiple engineering disciplines
- Comfort working in a highly technical, documentation-driven environment
Work Location Requirement
- Ability to work onsite a minimum of three (3) days per week
- Program requirements may increase onsite presence to five (5) days per week
