General Summary

We are seeking an experienced Ansible for RHEL Senior Consultant to support a long-term engagement focused on automation within a mainframe environment. This role is fully remote and expected to be approximately 1,600 hours in duration. The consultant will lead Ansible-based automation efforts while mentoring and training a mainframe-focused team, bridging modern automation practices with traditional mainframe technologies.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement Ansible automation solutions within RHEL and mainframe environments
• Lead automation initiatives to improve efficiency, consistency, and operational reliability
• Mentor and train a mainframe operations team on Ansible usage, best practices, and automation concepts
• Collaborate with stakeholders to translate manual mainframe processes into automated workflows
• Support and automate processes related to LPARs, storage, and other core mainframe components
• Troubleshoot and resolve automation and integration issues across environments
• Develop and maintain technical documentation, playbooks, and automation standards

Required Qualifications

• Strong hands-on experience with Ansible, including playbook development and automation design
• Solid experience supporting Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) environments
• Working knowledge of mainframe technologies, including LPARs, storage, and related infrastructure components
• Demonstrated ability to mentor, train, and upskill technical teams
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
