Mount Indie is seeking a skilled Test & Evaluation (T&E) Lead to support the ONMIS system and associated functionality within a Navy systems engineering and lab test environment. This role leads the development and execution of test plans, coordinates multi-team efforts, and ensures high-quality evaluation of integrated, shipboard, and system-of-systems capabilities.
Responsibilities:
- Develop, document, and execute test plans in support of ONMIS system functionality.
- Lead test activities across multiple teams (“team of teams”) to support development and operational testing in a lab-based environment.
- Conduct technical evaluations, record results, and report findings to engineering and program leadership.
- Collaborate with systems engineers, software developers, and stakeholders to validate requirements and ensure test coverage.
- Support integration and testing of shipboard networks, Aegis Weapon System interfaces, and related Navy systems.
- Contribute to System-of-Systems (SoS) architecture assessments and support scenario-based evaluation.
- Coordinate with customer and PMAT leadership to support test readiness, execution, and reporting.
- Travel as required for integration events, customer meetings, and test execution.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Technical experience with shipboard networks and the Aegis Weapon System.
- Strong systems engineering experience with the ability to develop and understand System-of-Systems architectures.
- Demonstrated ability to lead multiple teams (“team of teams”) through planning and execution of development and operational tests in a lab environment.
- Ability to work collaboratively in fast-paced, highly technical DoD environments.
- Willingness to travel.
Preferred Skills and Experience:
- Experience supporting Navy programs, NAVWAR/NIWC Pacific, or ONMIS-adjacent systems.
- Experience with test automation tools, data collection platforms, or DevSecOps pipelines.
- Familiarity with Distributed Maritime Operations (DMO), NOA, or C2/ISR Navy initiatives.
- Prior experience in system integration labs (SILs), afloat testing, or fleet introduction.
Education and Certification Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field such as engineering or mathematics (e.g., Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or Information Systems).
- Additional technical certifications (e.g., Security+, Network+, AWS, or Systems Engineering credentials) are a plus if required by contract.
Citizenship and Clearance Requirements:
- US Citizenship
- No dual citizenship
- Active DOD TSSCI clearance required
Location:
- Onsite or hybrid depending on contract requirements.
- Work may occur in a San Diego system integration lab or customer facility. Some travel may be required for testing events or coordination.
Travel:
- Up to 10–25% CONUS, depending on test event schedules and customer needs.
