General Summary

Mount Indie is seeking a Senior Consultant with strong Red Hat OpenStack and OpenShift experience to support a customer environment through OpenStack administration and modernization efforts. This is a remote consulting position supporting approximately 560 hours, with an estimated start date of October 26, 2026 and potential to extend. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience administering Red Hat OpenStack Platform (RHOSP) and strong Red Hat OpenShift skills, with the ability to support or quickly ramp up on Red Hat OpenStack Services on OpenShift (RHOSO) and the transition from RHOSP 17.1 to RHOSO.

Responsibilities

• Administer and support Red Hat OpenStack Platform (RHOSP) environments.
• Support the adoption and migration of RHOSP 17.1 environments to Red Hat OpenStack Services on OpenShift (RHOSO).
• Deploy, configure, and manage OpenStack control plane services and data plane nodes.
• Administer and troubleshoot OpenShift clusters supporting RHOSO environments.
• Troubleshoot OpenStack infrastructure across compute, networking, storage, and control plane components.
• Perform day-to-day OpenStack and OpenShift operational support.
• Collaborate with technical teams to resolve infrastructure issues and support customer requirements.
• Apply Red Hat best practices for OpenStack and OpenShift administration.

Requirements

• Strong hands-on experience with Red Hat OpenStack Platform (RHOSP) administration, preferably RHOSP 17/17.1.
• Strong Red Hat OpenShift administration experience in production environments.
• Experience with or strong understanding of Red Hat OpenStack Services on OpenShift (RHOSO).
• Understanding of the RHOSP 17.1 to RHOSO adoption/migration process.
• Solid knowledge of OpenStack architecture, administration, networking, storage, troubleshooting, and day-to-day operations.
• Ability to troubleshoot across both OpenStack and OpenShift environments.
• Red Hat OpenStack administration training/certification (such as CL110 and/or CL210) is preferred.
• Must be able to successfully complete a background check prior to the start date.
