We're seeking an experienced Ansible for RHEL Consultant to support a short-term remote engagement (approx. 80 hours). In this role, you'll help design and automate RHEL system configurations, optimize provisioning workflows, and improve infrastructure consistency using Ansible.
This is a fully remote role—available to professionals based in the U.S.—No C2C
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and refine Ansible playbooks and roles for RHEL systems (focus on RHEL 8/9)
- Automate common administrative tasks and system configurations
- Provide guidance on Ansible best practices, version control, and idempotent automation
- Collaborate with infrastructure teams to integrate automation into existing workflows
- Document processes and provide knowledge transfer to internal staff
Required Skills:
- Strong hands-on experience with Ansible and Red Hat Enterprise Linux
- Familiarity with RHEL image management, patching, and security hardening
- Experience in infrastructure as code (IaC) and configuration management
- Ability to work independently and deliver in a short timeframe
