About this role:

The HR Assistant provides administrative and operational support to the Human Resources team, helping ensure efficient HR processes and a positive employee experience. This role assists with recruitment, onboarding, employee records, benefits administration, payroll coordination, and general HR inquiries while maintaining confidentiality and compliance with company policies and applicable employment laws.

This role in the Operations department will help grow and strengthen our team by providing excellent support in all aspects of human capital and business functions.


What you’ll do:

  • Prepare onboarding materials and coordinate new-hire onboarding activities, including paperwork, orientations
  • Assist in administration of performance management system (PerformYard)
  • Maintain employee information in HRIS system (Paychex)
  • Manage digital and physical employee personnel files according to policy and legal requirements
  • Assist with the recruitment process; including posting job openings and scheduling interviews
  • Completion of employment verification and unemployment claims
  • Organizing historical employee compensation and performance data to be used in performance management and compensation evaluations
  • Help lead and provide insight to company engagement efforts regarding surveys and
  • feedback
  • Assist in planning company events and maintaining a positive and productive culture
  • Perform other administrative duties and special projects as assigned
  • Grow and learn in your career as a human resource professional



Requirements

  • 0-3 years of experience in HR or relevant role/education
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Able to work with sensitive/confidential information, in a time-sensitive, fast-paced environment
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Must be U.S. Citizen
