Summary
We’re seeking a Senior Consultant with deep expertise in Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform (AAP) to support a 240-hour, fully remote engagement. This role will guide the client through readiness, planning, and foundation phases—covering environment preparation, automation strategy, infrastructure deployment, and content creation. The consultant will lead workshops, build automation use cases, and ensure technical alignment across stakeholders, delivering a minimum viable automation solution.
Responsibilities
- Validate technical prerequisites, ensure environment readiness, and provide technical oversight during the engagement.
- Coordinate project logistics, stakeholder alignment, and access to document repositories.
- Lead strategy and planning workshops to define automation objectives, adoption plans, and business workflows.
- Define automation use cases including ServiceNow integration, RHEL server provisioning, and RHEL patching (stretch goal).
- Establish automation content lifecycle processes, monitoring, and reporting requirements.
- Document outcomes, create implementation guides, and present deliverables to stakeholders.
- Deploy, configure, and validate Ansible Automation Platform infrastructure, including a Private Automation Hub Cluster and custom Execution Environments.
- Integrate AAP with ServiceNow and VMware environments.
- Develop Ansible content (playbooks, roles, workflows) for provisioning and patching RHEL servers; support Nutanix integration (stretch goal).
- Provide ongoing technical oversight, resolve issues, manage scope, and escalate technical communications as needed.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Sr. Consultant / Engineer specializing in Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform.
- Strong expertise in automation strategy, content lifecycle, and infrastructure deployment.
- Hands-on experience with RHEL, VMware, Nutanix (preferred), and ServiceNow integrations.
- Skilled in developing and managing Ansible playbooks, roles, workflows, and execution environments.
- Excellent communication and facilitation skills for leading workshops and stakeholder sessions.
- Ability to work independently in a fully remote environment.
- Must be eligible to work in the U.S. — no C2C.
