Location: Remote | Up to 30% Travel (Oneida, NY & Kuwait)
We’re hiring a Systems Engineer to support a high-visibility Foreign Military Sales (FMS) program focused on modernizing an Air Operations Center (AOC). You’ll play a key role in building and deploying system hardware and software that supports mission-critical operations for international defense partners.
This role combines technical hands-on configuration work with collaboration across engineering and support teams. If you're detail-oriented, adaptable, and passionate about secure systems, we want to hear from you.
What You’ll Do
- Install and configure operating systems, drivers, and enterprise applications on servers, desktops, and embedded platforms.
- Perform pre-installation checks to ensure hardware/software compatibility.
- Troubleshoot and resolve installation and configuration issues quickly and effectively.
- Work closely with engineering, support, and project teams to meet technical requirements and deployment schedules.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of installation processes, configurations, and updates.
What You’ll Bring

Security Clearance: Active DoD Secret Clearance

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Computer Science or related field preferred)
- Experience:
- 3+ years in a similar engineering or system integration role
- Working knowledge of Secure Computing Environments and Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI)
- Understanding of Red/Black separation concepts
- Willingness to travel CONUS and OCONUS (up to 30%)
- Skills:
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
- Effective communicator with solid documentation habits
- Team player with the ability to collaborate across technical functions
Preferred Experience
- Previous work supporting Operations or Command Centers
- Familiarity with U.S. Air Force Command and Control (C2) systems
- Experience with C4I systems, including:
- Audio/Visual systems
- Access Control / Intrusion Detection Systems (ACS/IDS)
- Voice communications, Link 16, Ground-Based Air Defense (GBAD)
