We’re hiring a Technical Recruiter who can own the full recruiting lifecycle while serving as a trusted partner to hiring managers. In this role, you’ll run intake calls, advise leaders on market realities, and actively source and engage talent — not just wait for candidates to come to you.
This is a hands-on recruiting role for someone who understands government and national security hiring environments and knows how to navigate complex, clearance-driven searches with confidence.
Workload & Engagement Details
- This is a contractor role
- A long-term contract is the goal, though duration will depend on business needs
- Conversion to full-time employment may be possible, but there is no defined timeline
- Workload is expected to be 40 hours per week
- There is no fixed end date for the role; continued need depends on incoming work, internal team changes, and overall hiring demand
What You’ll Do
- Serve as the primary point of contact for hiring managers, running intake calls and guiding them through realistic hiring strategies
- Manage the full recruiting lifecycle, from sourcing through candidate submission and process management
- Actively source candidates while also reviewing and advancing candidates provided by sourcers when applicable
- Conduct market research to inform hiring managers on talent availability, competition, and compensation trends
- Provide consultative feedback such as: “Here’s what the market is showing,” rather than simply executing requests
- Identify and engage talent from a variety of channels, including professional platforms, cleared-talent sites, and creative research methods
Required Experience & Background
You’ll bring 3–5 years of recruiting experience, with clear exposure to one or more of the following environments:
- Department of Defense or National Security programs
- U.S. civilian agencies (e.g., IRS, health-related agencies)
- Experience recruiting candidates holding clearances up to TS/SCI with Polygraph
- Proven ability to independently source and identify qualified candidates
- A consulting-oriented mindset — able to guide hiring managers toward realistic, data-backed decisions rather than taking requests at face value
- US Citizenship
Sourcing Skills & Tools
You’ll be comfortable using a range of tools and research techniques, including:
- Market intelligence platforms such as TalentNeuron
- Sourcing tools like LinkedIn, Indeed, and similar platforms
- Cleared-talent recruiting sites such as ClearanceJobs or comparable resources
- Independent research methods, including identifying peer companies with similar roles and leveraging forums or nontraditional sources when needed
- Creative, “outside-the-box” sourcing approaches to reach hard-to-find talent
