Experience: Minimum 5 years

Reports To: General Manager

Build the Foundation for Quality Excellence

We are seeking an experienced Quality Manager to lead the development, implementation, and ongoing management of our organization's Quality Management System (QMS).

This is a newly created position offering the opportunity to establish and strengthen quality standards across a growing organization supporting government and commercial customers.

You'll play a central role in achieving ISO 9001:2015 certification and CMMI Development and Services Maturity Level 3 appraisals, while building processes that improve operational efficiency, supplier quality, regulatory compliance, and organizational performance.

Working closely with executive leadership, internal teams, and external consultants, you'll help turn quality requirements into practical, sustainable business processes.

What You'll Do

Quality Management & Compliance

  • Design, implement, and oversee an organization-wide Quality Management System (QMS) aligned with ISO 9001:2015 and CMMI Development and Services Level 3 requirements.
  • Establish quality processes, performance indicators, and measurable standards that support compliance and continuous improvement.
  • Lead ISO 9001:2015 certification efforts and CMMI Development and Services Level 3 appraisals, including preparation, documentation, assessments, and ongoing maintenance.
  • Coordinate with external consultants supporting certification readiness, process development, documentation reviews, and internal assessments.
  • Maintain compliance with updates to applicable standards, certifications, and regulatory requirements.
  • Track ISO requirements, including all applicable "shall" statements, CMMI practices, and supporting evidence to ensure accurate documentation and traceability.
  • Conduct internal audits, identify compliance gaps, implement corrective actions, and monitor improvements.

Supplier Quality & Configuration Management

  • Manage supplier quality activities, including supplier evaluations, audits, performance ratings, corrective actions, and approved supplier lists.
  • Ensure procurement quality processes address contractual flow-down requirements, material inspections, and product conformance.
  • Establish and maintain Configuration Management and Document Control procedures consistent with contractual obligations and industry standards.
  • Develop workflows for document revisions, material revision control, Engineering Change Orders (ECOs), and inventory management.

Process Improvement & Organizational Quality

  • Partner with program management teams to develop and monitor organizational and contract-specific quality metrics.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline contractual and program workflows while maintaining compliance and quality standards.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives that align quality objectives with broader business goals.
  • Develop and deliver employee training to support consistent adoption of quality procedures.
  • Apply Organizational Change Management principles to help teams successfully adopt new processes.
  • Present quality improvement recommendations, supporting analysis, and business justifications to executive leadership.

Government Contracting & Security Compliance

  • Support information security teams with preparation and coordination for Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC) reviews and third-party assessments.
  • Ensure quality processes support applicable federal contracting requirements and regulatory obligations.
  • Collaborate across departments to strengthen process maturity, documentation accuracy, and audit readiness.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

  • At least 5 years of experience in a Quality Manager or comparable quality assurance leadership role.
  • Direct experience with the ISO registration and auditing lifecycle, including certification-related activities.
  • Working knowledge of and prior exposure to CMMI appraisal processes.
  • Strategic thinking skills and the ability to formulate an effective QMS implementation approach.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Management, Organizational Management, or a related discipline.
  • Experience developing and implementing organizational Quality Management Systems, including ISO and CMMI processes.
  • Quality management experience within a professional services organization.
  • Working knowledge of federal contracting requirements, proposal development, and contract management processes.
  • Professional certifications or training such as:
  • CMMI Practitioner certification or higher
  • ISO QMS Internal Auditor Training or equivalent
  • Comparable Quality Assurance Management certifications

Why This Opportunity Stands Out

This position offers the chance to build and lead a quality management program rather than simply maintain an existing one.

You'll have the opportunity to influence how quality is integrated into organizational operations, work directly with executive leadership, and establish processes that support long-term performance and compliance.

Your expertise will be instrumental in achieving key industry certifications, strengthening supplier oversight, and creating scalable systems that support continued organizational growth.

Ready to make a lasting impact? Join us and help establish the standards, systems, and processes that drive quality excellence.
